@ Six Months: Ten Things I have Learned as a New Parent (in no order)

1.To be incredibly efficient in the grocery store or any errand for that matter, esp. when your kid's naps are only 30 minutes long!
2. Buy clothes one size ahead.
3. The days go too fast so keeping a journal or blog will be a prize years from now.
4. Baby carriers are great WHEN they come with lumbar support! Loved the Moby first 3 months.
5. Long "shhhh" in the ear of a sleepy baby does wonders to knockin' them out!
6. I learned to say "yes" when friends offered help or an extra hand.
7. If at first swaddling does not work, try try again. Alas, it works!
8. Attend a parent support class---for Seattle, google First Weeks.
9. You need very few toys -- EO seems entertained enough with my off-key singing and talking and his observations of the space around him.
10. Changing Table Mobile is the cat's meow the first few months (Tiny Love Classical)
